Frequently asked questions
What everyone asks before starting
Does my customer need to download anything or create an account?
No. Your customer receives an email or WhatsApp message. They click, view their booking in the browser and, if there is a deposit, pay by card. If you configured mandatory documents, they accept them right there. No apps, no sign-ups, no friction.
Can I require the customer to accept terms before confirming?
Yes. Upload PDFs to your library, choose in Settings which are mandatory and the customer accepts them on their booking page before the appointment is confirmed.
Is the booking confirmed when I create it?
It depends on what you enabled. Without a deposit or mandatory documents, it is confirmed when created. If payment or acceptance is pending, it stays on hold until the customer acts.
Do I have to change how I manage my bookings?
No. You still take calls, WhatsApps or walk-ins as always. You just log the appointment in SHOOW instead of on paper or your phone. The system handles the rest.
Is upfront payment mandatory?
No. It is completely optional and enabled booking by booking. You can use SHOOW only to centralise and notify, without charging anything. You turn on deposits when you want, for the bookings you want.
What happens if the customer does not pay the deposit link?
The link expires automatically within the timeframe you configure (48 hours by default). The booking is cancelled on its own. You do not have to do anything or call anyone.
How much does it cost if I do not collect deposits?
Zero. The free plan is genuinely free, with no booking or time limits. We only charge 5% when you process an upfront payment via link (minimum €1), and only on that amount.
Does the deposit go directly to my account?
Yes. The customer pays and the money goes directly to your bank account. SHOOW only retains its fee at the moment of payment. No middlemen, no waiting.
